FONTANA, Calif. (September 1, 2007) – Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Imation team were sailing toward a top-10 finish at California Speedway Saturday night when the team’s pit strategy was derailed, sending them into a one-lap deficit with just a little more than 50 laps remaining in the 150-lap NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) competition. Sorenson and team stayed focused to return to the lead lap less than 30 laps later and proceeded to return to where they were running prior to being sidelined to call it a night in 11th place.
The No. 41 team now stands 16th in the overall Busch Series owner points, with a current tally of 2,776. The team is just seven points away from the 15th spot and 199 points out of the top 10.
CGRFS Driver Quoteboard
Reed Sorenson: “The Imation Dodge was pretty good overall tonight. We just couldn’t get it to take to Turn 1, but the time I lost in Turn 1 we would seem to make up in Turn 3. Not sure about what happened there halfway. We were told a little late we had one lap to go before returning to green there toward the end so I wasn’t sure how all of that would play out for us, but we had a good car and managed to make it up.”
