DOVER, Del. (Sept. 22, 2007) After starting sixth for the 200-lap Busch Series competition at Dover International Speedway, Sorenson ran in the top 10 for a majority of the race, eventually taking the checkered flag in fifth place at the track known as The Monster Mile. Battling a car that was primarily loose entering and exiting the corners and tight in the center, Sorenson communicated the handling problems to crew chief Brad Parrott so he could plan the necessary adjustments for each stop.
Sorenson pitted a total of four times during the race, with the car swapping from mostly loose early to too tight as the race pressed on. Which ever condition was plaguing the No. 41 Imation Dodge, Sorenson appeared to be better than the competition on the longer runs. Sorenson pitted one final time during the 12th caution on lap 166 for four tires and fuel. Some competitors didnt pit, dropping him to 11th for the next green flag on lap 171 but he was able to race up to fifth place during the final 29 circuits around the 1-mile speedway. This marked Sorensons last event driving the No. 41 Dodge in the Busch Series this season.
The No. 41 team now stands 16th in the overall Busch Series owner points, with a current tally of 2,989. The team is 57 points outside of the top 15 and 132 points out of the top 10.
