Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit Dodge Team Facts:
Reed Returns: Reed Sorenson will return to NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) competition this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway with Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit colors on board with him. Sorenson has been hampered by an unusual streak of bad luck in NBS competition so far this year, but is planning to shake the monkey off his back in Alabama on Saturday.
Wrigley’s 41 Team, Please Step Forward: David Stremme and the No. 41 Wrigley’s team scored another solid 11th-place finish last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR), which gave the team another nice lift up—six positions total—in the overall point standings. The Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) Busch team is now 25th in the overall rundown with a running tally of 821, just 121 points out of 10th place.
Chassis: The No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit team will race chassis #551 in this weekend’s Aaron’s 312. It is the same car the No. 41 CGRFS Busch team raced at Talladega last April when Sorenson and crew were top-10 contenders all day until a chaotic sprint for the checkered flag on lap 117 forced the No. 41 Dodge out of the stronger draft and sent it sailing from a ninth-place running position to a 17th-place finish.
When to Watch: The Aaron’s 312 is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET Saturday, April 28, and will broadcast live on ABC (TV), MRN (Radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 128. Qualifying for the 117-lap race is scheduled to take place at 5:05 p.m. ET Friday, April 27. The broadcast of the Talladega NBS qualifying session will be taped to air later Friday night on SPEED at 8 p.m. ET.
