Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Target Dodge Team Facts:

Sorenson Helps Raise Over $75,000 for Charity: Last week, Sorenson helped raise over $75,000 with proceeds benefiting Speedway Children’s Charities, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Project Pink House.  Sorenson’s charitable events included his inaugural Charity Golf Classic, a donation pledge program developed for the Atlanta race, which his primary sponsor Target matched, and an online auction of his breast cancer awareness pink helmet and firesuit.

Career Best:  Sorenson recorded his career-best NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series finish last weekend with his third-place performance at his hometown track – Atlanta Motor Speedway.  He also recorded his first career top-10 finish at the track on March 16, 2006 during his Cup rookie season.

Atlanta Test: Sorenson, along with his CGRFS teammates Dario Franchitti and Juan Pablo Montoya participated in a NASCAR sanctioned CoT test at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Monday and Tuesday.  This is the first time the Series has tested as a group with the new cars at an intermediate track (over one mile, not restrictor plate).

Drive Thru Award Winners:   The No. 41 over-the-wall crew claimed the Checker/Rally Double-Drive Thru Challenge award in Atlanta for spending the least amount of time on pit road than any participating crew.  The crew spent a total of 359.594 seconds on pit road during the 329-lap event.  The No. 41 crew consists of the following members:  Chuck White (jackman), Marty Forcier (front-tire carrier), Bobby Burrell (front-tire changer), Adam Mosher (rear-tire carrier), Jason Sheets (rear-tire changer), Randy Hildreth (gasman), Eric "Pee Wee" Hoyle (catch can), and Shane Bourgeois (eighth-man). The team is led by crew chief Jimmy Elledge and the pit crew coach is Lance Munksgard.

Points Update: Sorenson and the Target team moved up one position to 22nd in the overall NEXTEL Cup Series driver standings with their third-place finish in the last event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.  The team is 140 points out of 20th with three races remaining in the 2007 season.

Chassis:  Crew chief Elledge has selected chassis #705 for this weekend’s race at Texas.  This is the same car Sorenson captured his career best finish (third) with last weekend at Atlanta.
