SORENSON RELEGATED TO 36th AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Reed Sorenson., driver of the No. 41 TUMS Quick Pak Dodge, finished the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in the 36th position on Saturday night.

Prior to the green flag, TUMS and Bristol Motor Speedway helped organize a Guinness World Record of the largest audience wave with the sold-out crowd of 160,000 fans at the .533-mile oval.

Starting in 30th spot, Sorenson patiently worked his way through the field.  During the first caution flag on lap 96, Sorenson reported needing more rear grip.  Overall, he was pleased with the handling of the car.  The team made a slight air pressure adjustment to assist Sorenson.

While marked in the 24th position, the 22-year-old was collected in a multi-car accident on lap 216. The incident caused extensive damage to the right-front side of the TUMS Dodge.

Sorenson brought his machine behind pit wall for repairs.  The No. 41 crew worked hard and was able to return the TUMS Dodge to the track 37th, 113 laps down.   Gaining one spot, the team went on to finish the 500-lap event in 36th.  The No. 41 entry remains 30th in the series' owner standings with 1904 points.
The NSCS teams head west to the 2-mile Auto Club Speedway in California.  The Pepsi 500 is scheduled to go green at 8 p.m. ET with live coverage on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
