Sorenson and Target Team Finish 26th at Kansas Speedway
Reed Sorenson drove his No. 41 Target Dodge to a 26th-place finish in the Camping World 400 at Kansas Speedway Sunday afternoon.

The Target Team rolled off 17th for the 400.5-mile event. In the early laps of competition Sorenson radioed his Dodge was loose and had a lack of grip.  During the first green-flag pit stop on lap 51, Crew Chief Donnie Wingo called for air pressure adjustments, fuel and four tires.

The Target team continued to make adjustments on the No. 41 Dodge throughout several yellow-flag pit stops.  Things went south from that point as a lack of grip plagued Sorenson and the Target Dodge all day at the 1.5-mile track. Despite several attempts to improve the handling, the car continued to be a handful for the remainder of the race. Sorenson eventually lost a lap to the race leader on lap 178 during the last round of green-flag pit stops.

The red and white Dodge went on to finish the 267-lap event in 26th, one lap behind race winner Jimmie Johnson.  The No. 41 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) team remained 30th in the

overall NSCS owner standings.  With a current tally of 2,326, the team sits 404 points out of 25th.

Next weekend the Sprint Cup Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway for the running of the AMP Energy 500. The race will be broadcast live on the ABC beginning at 1 p.m. ET on October 5 followed by the drop of the green flag at 2 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) will simulcast coverage on its radio affiliates.
