Sorenson and the Target Team Finish 26th at Richmond International Raceway
Reed Sorenson finished 26th in Sunday's rain-postponed Rock and Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway (RIR).

Tropical Storm Hanna arrived into the Richmond area on Friday, forcing NASCAR and RIR officials to postpone Saturday evening's Rock & Roll 400. The storm cleared through quickly and left sunny skies and warm temperatures for the race event to resume on Sunday.

Sorenson started the race from the 30th spot, his position determined by owner's point standings after qualifying was rained out on Friday. NASCAR called for a mandatory "competition caution" on lap 35 and the No. 41 team took advantage of the opportunity to bring its driver in for changes to the car.

During multiple pit stops throughout the race the Target Team made several air pressure adjustments in the tires to help with the handling of Sorenson’s Dodge.   When the caution came out on lap 243, it was a call from Crew Chief Donnie Wingo to not pit and stay out to gain track position.
Sorenson restarted seventh and ran in the top 15 for 30 laps. Later in the run, the pack caught back up and Sorenson settled within the top 20.

In the end, Sorenson drove his Target Dodge to a 26th-place finish.  With the finish, the No. 41 CGRFS entry remains 30th in the series' owner standings with 2,071 points, 363 markers behind 25th-place.

The Sprint Cup Series now travels to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway where the Chase to the Sprint Cup Championship will begin. The Sylvania 300 will begin at 2 p.m. EDT, with the ABC network providing live television coverage beginning at 1p.m. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) will provide radio coverage.
