SORENSON AND THE TARGET DODGE FINISH 22ND at LMS
Reed Sorenson drove his No. 41 Target Doge to a 22nd-place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (LMS) Sunday night in the 12th and longest NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race of the season.

The Target Team rolled off 17th for the 600-mile event. In the early laps of competition Sorenson radioed his Dodge was loose and had a lack of grip relegating him to 28th position. During the first green-flag pit stop on lap 52, Crew Chief Donnie Wingo called for air pressure adjustments, fuel and four tires.

The No. 41 Dodge went down a lap to leader Kurt Busch on lap 107.  The team continued to work on the handling of the car throughout a series of green-flag and yellow-flag pit stops.  During the restart on lap 305, Sorenson was involved in minor fender bender bringing out the 10th caution of the night.  The Target Dodge entered pit road to work on the right-front fender and change right-side tires.

The red and white Dodge went on to finish the 400-lap event in 22nd place, one lap behind race winner Kasey Kahne.  The No. 41 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix
Sabates (CGRFS) team gained one position in the overall NSCS owner standings, now marked in 31st.  With a current tally of 969, the team sits 485 points out of 12th and 271 points away from the top 20.

The NSCS teams head to The Monster Mile next weekend to run 400 laps at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, June 1.  The 400-mile event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET, with live broadcast coverage starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
