Reed Sorenson Homestead Preview
Helping a Teammate’s Cause: Sorenson will be attending the BeLive Charity Gala, hosted by Connie and Juan Pablo Montoya, on Tues., Nov. 11 at Jungle Island in Miami. The event proceeds will benefit Connie and Juan’s foundation, Formula Smiles, and other charities to help raise awareness for Montoya’s home country of Colombia.
HMS History: This will be Sorenson’s fourth NSCS start at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His best finish of 16th and best start of 11th came in 2006 at the 1.5-mile oval.
Last Race: Sorenson and the No.41 Target Dodge started 12th and appeared to have a car that would contend for a solid finish last Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway, but bad luck struck the No.41 team when Kyle Busch’s car made slight contact with Sorenson’s Dodge, resulting in a blown tire. Sorenson returned to the track 32nd, four laps down to the leaders. Despite several wrecks during the final 30 laps, Sorenson kept his nose clean and went on to finish 31st.

Points Update: The No.41 entry is 32nd in the series' owner standings with 2,774 points.
Chassis Info: Chassis #806. This chassis is the same car Sorenson and the No.41 team ran at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this season to an 18th-place finish. In addition, the Target Team raced this car in the All-Star Showdown at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in May. Sorenson was racing in the top five prior to another car forcing him into the outside wall. The car also ran in Michigan (June), Bristol (August), and Atlanta (October).
