Sorenson Prepares for Kansas Speedway
Kansas History: Sorenson has a two starts in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) garages at Kansas Speedway. His best NSCS finish at this track was last year when he posted a seventh-place finish. Sorenson also has two top-10 finishes in both of his NNS starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval.
Last weekend: The No. 41 Target Team and Reed Sorenson finished 30th at Dover International Speedway (DIS) last weekend. Sorenson took the green flag 39th and quickly radioed his team to report his car was tight through the center and loose off. Crew Chief Donnie Wingo and Team slightly decreased the left-side air pressure with hopes of alleviating the handling issues. Unfortunately, the handling issues continued and Sorenson was unable to make up any substantial ground on the field, running only as high as 29th. Sorenson and the Target Team took the checkered flag five laps down in the 30th position.

In the Points: The No. 41 Team remains 30th in the NSCS owner standings, 363 points out of the top 25.
Take Me out to the Ball Game: Target Corporation and the Minnesota Twins announced they have reached an agreement in principle on an exclusive 25-year partnership that includes the naming rights for Target Field, the new world-class home of the Twins scheduled to open in 2010. Beyond Target Field, Target and the Twins also will collaborate on the design of Target Plaza - a pedestrian bridge and public gathering space connecting Target Field to downtown Minneapolis. The Minnesota Ballpark Authority, the public owner of the facility, will oversee the design, construction and operation of the new ballpark and plaza.
