Sorenson Ready for Martinsville
Martinsville History:  Sorenson’s best finish in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) competition at Martinsville was the first time he raced a NSCS car at the Virginia track in April 2006, when he scored a 12th-place finish (started 25th).   Last year he finished 18th (started 28th) in the April race and then followed up with a 41st-place finish (started 28th) in October.  His first and only NNS run at Martinsville (which was in June 2006) resulted in a fourth-place finish.  Altogether, he has five starts in NSCS competition at the short track, averaging a 27th-place starting position and 28.4-finishing position. 
200th Start:  Reed Sorenson will be making his 200th NASCAR start this Sunday at Martinsville.  Sorenson has participated in 95 NNS events and 104 NSCS races heading into this weekend's event.

Last Weekend:  Reed Sorenson earned his fourth top-15 finish of the season at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Saturday night when he drove his Target Dodge to a 15th-place finish during the Bank of America 500.

In the Points: The No.41 CGRFS team climbed one spot in the NSCS Owner point standings. With 2,871 points, the No.41 trails 25th-place Travis Kvapil by 323 points.
Happy Birthday:  The Target team will celebrate two birthdays this weekend. Target Team Engine Tuner Travis Alexander will celebrate his 31st birthday on Sunday, October 19, and the No.41 Race Engineer Tim Smith will turn 33-years-old Monday.

Golfing for Charity:  The Second Annual Reed Sorenson Charity Golf Classic is scheduled to take place next Thursday, October 23, at the Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.  Proceeds will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities and golfers can expect to play with many NASCAR drivers, including Sorenson’s CGRFS teammate Juan Pablo Montoya.  For more information please log onto www.reedsorenson.com.
