Reed Looking For New England Success at NHMS
Infineon Results: The No. 41 Target team would like to thank Scott Pruett who substituted for Sorenson at Infineon Raceway this past weekend.  Pruett, who holds the record for most wins with CGR at 18, drove the car to a 38th-place finish after a late-race incident sent him to the garage.  After qualifying in the 27th position, he was able to charge forward to make a run at a top-15 finish.  With three laps remaining, Pruett was hit from behind by the No. 20 car, ultimately ending his day.  In addition to competing at Infineon, Pruett along with teammate Memo Rojas drove the No. 01 TELMEX Lexus Riley to an eighth-place finish in the EMCO Gears Classic at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, June 21.
New Hampshire History: Sorenson has made a combined seven starts at NHMS in NASCAR’s top two series. His average start in a NASCAR Sprint Cup is 14th and his average finishing position is 20.25.  In the Nationwide Series, Sorenson has an average starting position of 12th and an average finishing position of 13.3.  His best finish at the track in the Cup series came last September when he scored a 14th-place finish.

In the Points:  After finishing in the 38th position this weekend the No. 41 car dropped to 35th in owners standings with 1,228 points. The No. 41 car is 410 points out of the 20th position.  Sorenson is 34th in NSCS driver points, 437 out of 20th.
Congratulations Wheldon:  Target teammate Dan Wheldon celebrated his 30th birthday in victory lane this past weekend after winning the Corn Indy 250 at the Iowa Speedway on Sunday.  After starting in the third position, Wheldon was able to take the lead on lap 60 and win the race.

Wheldon and Dixon Donate Winnings to Iowa Disaster Relief: Wheldon donated his Iowa winnings to relief programs for victims of flooding in Iowa.  Coupled with Dixon’s prize money for finishing fifth, the TCGR drivers donated the money to Iowa disaster relief funds.  “It’s very small in the grand scheme of things, but we’re very proud to be able to do something,” Wheldon said.  “Hopefully it will put a smile on people’s faces.”

98 and counting:  Thanks to a victory at the Iowa Speedway this weekend by Wheldon, team owner Chip Ganassi has 98 wins under his belt, leaving him just two wins away from reaching a milestone of 100 victories as an owner.  His wins have come across a wide variety of racing series including CART, IndyCar, NASCAR Sprint Cup, NASCAR Nationwide, ARCA and Grand Am.  Sorenson has four of those victories: three NNS and one ARCA.
