Sorenson’s Preps for Phoenix
PIR History: Sorenson will be making his sixth NSCS start at PIR this weekend. His best NSCS finish was 19th in the spring race of 2007. The 22-year-old has four NNS starts at the 1-mile oval. He has three top-10 finishes which includes a second-place finish in spring 2006.
Last Race: Sorenson and the No.41 Target Team started ninth for the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway last Sunday afternoon. After running in the top 15, Sorenson suffered an oil leak on lap 51 resulting in an uphill battle for the remainder of the race. Sorenson crossed the finish line in the 37th spot.
Points Update: The No.41 entry dropped one position, to 32nd in the series' owner standings with 3,107 points. The team is 13 points out of 30th and 403 points away from the No.44 entry of Michael Waltrip Racing in 25th.
