Reed Sorenson Texas Preview

TMS History: Sorenson has competed in 10 NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway.  Out of Sorenson’s five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval his best finish is 13th and his average finish is 26th place.  In the NNS garage, the 22-year-old has two top-five and two top-10 finishes.

Last Race:  Reed Sorenson returned home last weekend as the NSCS visited Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Pep Boys Auto 500.  Sorenson maintained a clean run until a late-race incident on lap 303 sent the No.41 Target Dodge behind pit road for repairs.  The team repaired the damage and returned to the track for a 39th-place finish.

Points Update: The No.41 entry dropped one position, to 31st in the series' owner standings with 2,652 points.  The team is four points out of 30th and 414 points away from teammate Juan Pablo Montoya in 25th. 

No. 41 Target Dodge (NSCS):  Chassis #634.  Sorenson will be making his fourth start with chassis #634 this season.  Sorenson previously drove it at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this past May.  Sorenson also drove it in Chicago and Kansas earlier this year. Montoya drove it to a 15th-place finish at Bristol this past March.
