No. 43 SIEMENS Dodge Ends Its 2009 Season

HOMESTEAD POST RACE REPORT

• Sorenson started 42th and finished 40th

• Reported a tight-center, loose off handling condition early.

• Went a lap down around lap 70

• Received the Lucky Dog on lap 108 to return to the lead lap

• Involved in a freak pit road wreck on lap 117 to end the day and season for the No. 43.

• This was Sorenson’s final race in the No. 43 for Richard Petty Motorsports

SORENSON: “Wow, I’m not sure what happened.  We were coming to pit road and all that you can see is the guy in front of you, so I was pretty close to the 98.  I saw him check up and I got on the brakes hard.  Elliott (Sadler) was behind me and it looks like he got hit from behind, then he hit me from behind and I was a pinball in the middle.  Elliott told me that the 96 was trying to come into the garage.  It’s a shame that something that stupid had to wreck this many cars.”
