Richard Petty Motorsports Qualifying Report

Richard Petty Motorsports drivers will start Sunday’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway as follows:

13th — AJ Allmendinger, No 44 Ford. Drive One.

21st — Elliott Sadler, No 19 Best Buy Dodge

25th — Kasey Kahne, No. 9 Budweiser Dodge

42th — Reed Sorenson, No. 43 SIEMENS Dodge

· Jimmie Johnson won his fourth pole of the year with a lap of 31.049 seconds, 173.919

· Top three qualifiers were Johnson, Scott Speed and Marcos Ambrose.

· Two practice sessions are scheduled for Saturday.

· Race coverage begins Sunday at 2:30 p.m. (EST) on ABC and MRN Radio.

Reed Sorenson (No. 43 SIEMENS Dodge Charger) - "We just got real loose between Turns 1 and 2 trying to pick up some time on the second lap (the right rear of the 43 brushed the wall). I was doing everything I could to put down a good lap so we could get a good starting spot on Sunday. I want to go out strong as a thank you to all the guys on the 43 team, but I guess I was just trying a little too hard."
