Reed Finishes 21st at Auto Club 500
- Sorenson started last after an engine change following qualifying and an incident in final practice.
- Was moving to the front until pit road speeding violation during the second caution forced him to back of field
- Reported the No. 43 was difficult to turn.
- Finished 21st.
Sorenson on Cali:
“Man, that was a tough night for us. We struggled trying to get our car to turn in the center of the corner. There for a while the only way I could get the car to turn was to pitch it sideways. That wasn’t a lot of fun. We took some pretty big swings at the handling later in the race and it seemed to really help. For as much as we struggled to walk out of here with the finish with we did is a pretty good feeling. There were a lot of guys struggling out there tonight. We’ll be better in Las Vegas.”
After starting last due to rolling out the back-up car, Reed drove his way to a 21st-place finish.. (CIA Photo)
