DRIVER COMMENTS
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) - Qualified 18th - “I really didn’t know what to expect in qualifying to be honest with you. I just slid around a little bit more than I expected, but the balance on our Budweiser Dodge was really good. We were just a little bit too loose to go any faster, but we’ll take it and get ready for tomorrow.”
REED SORENSON (No. 43 McDonald’s McCafe Dodge Charger) - Qualified 23rd- “It was pretty good. We chattered the front a little bit too much. The first lap it chattered a bunch and the second lap it chattered coming to the checkered (flag) which scrubbed some time off our qualifying time. We’ve been tight all day.”
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 PVA.org King’s Cup Karting for a Cause Dodge Charger) - Qualified 31st - “We spent the majority of the day today on our race setup and just a little bit of time at the end of the second practice working on qualifying. We think we have a much better racecar than what we showed in qualifying. Hopefully we can make up some ground tomorrow once the race starts.”
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Dodge Charger) - Qualified 32nd - “We were OK, just OK. We really tried to work on our front end (of the car) in practice trying to get it to turn better through the center of the corner and didn’t spend a lot of time in qualifying trim. We’ll have to start from the back of the field and work our way up tomorrow night.”
