Ryan Newman won the pole position with a time of 188.475 mph/28.651 sec.

The Sprint Cup Series race begins Sunday, May 24 at 5 p.m. (EDT) on FOX and PRN Radio.

REED SORENSON (No. 43  Air Force Dodge Charger) - Qualified  23rd- “It’s a long 600 mile race, but we didn’t help ourselves by qualifying in the back of the field.  We were only 37th in today’s practice, and we didn’t get much better in our qualifying run.  Saturday is a new day.  We’ll just take a look at all the data today and try to make our car better in the last two practice session on Saturday.”
