MORE SPEEDWAY PRACTICE FOR REED AND THE #29

The ASA National Touring Series will descend upon the Atlanta Motor Speedway for open practice on Thursday. This will mark the first time the ASA cars will test with restrictor plates in preparation for their debut races at Atlanta and Lowes Motor Speedways in 2004.
The Reed Sorenson Racing test in Kentucky proved to be an experience and accumulation of valuable notes.

"Drafting was really fun", Reed commented after the last practice of the day April 16.  "I can't wait to get back to a big track."

Reed Sorenson will make a return to his roots when he arrives in Hampton, Georgia.

He lives 20 miles away and probably has a thousand laps at the track... the 1/4 mile oval on the front stretch that is.   He is a three time Legends Champion at the facility.

AMS is home for Reed Sorenson Racing and we look forward to running the 1.5-mile track with the ASA series in October.

The Target/Texaco Havoline Dodge team will utilize the five practice sets on Thursday to collect data and study the super speedway's effect on their equipment.
After speedway practice, the ASA series will travel north to Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, Ga. for their second stop on the 2004 schedule.

Reed had a top-five finish last season at the 3/8-mile oval in front of a hugh hometown crowd.  The Target #29 is practicing Friday afternoon and will return to the familiar site for the show at Lanier on Saturday May 1st.   Reed has competed on this track in Quarter Midgets, Legends, Late Models and currently ASA.

The Lanier 250 will be televised live on SPEED Channel this Saturday night (May 1) at 8 pm (EST).
